There are 167 land ports of entry on United States' borders with Canada and Mexico, with more than $1 trillion in trade processed every year through US southern and northern border land ports. But these land ports are facing increasingly complex challenges. Smart infrastructure, innovation, and technological development can shape US land ports of the future, help America to solve these challenges, and to regain a competitive edge.
